EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
““But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.”
Luke 15:17, 22 NKJV
YOU ARE THAT PRODIGAL CHILD
The story of the prodigal son reflects our own story. Exhausted by the world’s snares and your own struggles to make ends meet, you may feel distant from God, even while attending church.
The Law vs. Grace
What the Law Required: According to Deuteronomy 21:18-21, this rebellious child deserved condemnation.
What Grace Offers: When he returned filled with shame and guilt, the Father ran to him to embrace him and restore his dignity.
The Father's 5 Actions (Luke 15:20):
He saw him: God has never lost sight of you.
He was moved: His heart is filled with compassion, not judgment.
He ran: He takes the first step toward you.
He threw his arms around his neck: He wipes away your shame.
He kissed him: He grants you complete reconciliation.
Don't let guilt or feelings of worthlessness keep you from Him any longer. Today, the Father reaches out to you to restore your identity as a son/daughter of the King. Receive this unconditional love in Jesus Christ!
PRAYER OF SURRENDER AND RESTORATION
"Heavenly Father, I come to You just as I am. Forgive me for trying to accomplish everything on my own and for listening to guilt. Today, I choose to return to Your arms. Open the eyes of my understanding and grant me a Spirit of wisdom and revelation to fully grasp my identity as a beloved and restored child in Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your unconditional love and infinite grace. Amen.
Jesus’ beloved !
